Dee Roberts was born in Pennsylvania. Early interest in art was nurtured and rewarded, culminating in a scholarship to the Philadelphia College of Art. Dee majored in Illustration. After she married and moved to Florida she continued to study, taking courses with Louise Freshman Brown and workshops with Mary Whyte, Janet Rogers, and Michelle Held.

Her work is diverse, ranging from drawings, acrylics, oils, watercolor and pastels Her subject matter ranges from wildlife, figures, and landscapes to abstracts.
