Pam Boney
Collective Founder, Abstract Impressionist Painter
The Low Country of North and South Carolina is a stunning place to live a laid-back lifestyle at any stage of life. Second only to Southern France, the Low Country of the Carolinas is one of the most beautiful places to paint. I was inspired to take up painting because my art collection was suddenly gone due to a tragic fire, and the empty walls were beckoning me with a blank palette. This idea became the one idea that got me through losing so much that was precious to our family.
A romantic and entrepreneur at heart, I am a believer that boldness in the midst of change is the quality that launches us into new adventures and life requires it to achieve an experience of fulfillment. So at 65, I decided to become a painter. The painting behind my portrait here was my first. I paint large, bold impressionist and abstract landscapes and images inspired by life in the islands of the Low Country of the Carolinas.
