Jackie McAfee is an accomplished artist with many acknowledgements and honors.

Growing up in her mother’s artist studio and traveling to her art shows, she gained inspiration from all forms of art media. She teaches art classes, illustrates children’s books and mentors kids through a national art competition.

Jackie’s post expressionist style, has a generous interpretation of color because “the colors in nature are much more vibrant than the colors we can mix on our pallet. Thick rich brush strokes provide action and expression and most of my paintings are painted in this style.”

Traveling between Virginia Beach, VA and Charleston, SC she paints the coastal life and rich historical architecture. She enjoys spending time painting with other artists, finding that marsh or beach scene and watching it come to life on their canvases.
